new "making of" pics.

one of the pieces in the show is called SONG. here are some details of the piece (and one shot of it in progress)... (more pics after the jump)

there are 9 new pieces in the show. most of them are larger than any piece i've done.

    LOL. I can see it. The pieces are HUGE! ;D So many skeletons.

    Anyway, good job. :) I hope I can have a view of the pieces even though I'm not in LA. xD

    I love looking at paintings up close. I can't draw or paint very well, but I like to do it anyway, so it's cool to see how professionals create art. I love your artwork. (And I heard from an art teacher in high school, many years ago, that hands are the hardest part of the human form to draw, so bravo to you for doing a great job on that!)

    i so wish i could go see your your stuff, but im in germany (military, hubby is in iraq). i had no idea you did this! your artwork blows my mind almost as much as your music (ALMOST!) btw, the concert in mannheim (06-24-08) was AWESOME! wasnt a huge fan of the new album till i heard it live (and actually paid attention...) YOU ROCK!

    Still cant find the words to express my attitude to SONG, i love it that's for sure! The hand is priceless, i just wanna hold it :D And i want to tell you that the pic on the background here ( skeleton and two girls) reminds me the meaning of the 6th arcanum of Tarot (The Lovers ) but it seems it's better to call it 'Bifurcatio', like Freedom Of Choice, and all is seen in non-traditional way. And now i know why skeleton has dents in his head - it's becoz of headphones he used to wear when he was alive, and now he just doesnt have ears, and now he can hear another music

    those drawing look just amazing. I wish I could be there. but i live in jersey - so thats kinda too far :) anyways I told my friend to go and see your exhibition for me and to take lots of pictures. So I can just pretend I was there ;)

    O God! Mike, this is so COOL!!!! I am really impressed, it looks so AMAZING!!! I have even no words.... what a pity I can't go to the museum..:( but can't wait more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! REALLY GOOD JOB MIKE!!!!!!

    Now on to something else. I watched part of the Spike awards last night & LOVED Matt Damon’s speech! I cracked up laughing! Apparently the Celtics are Megan Fox’s team too. lol The Celtics did end up kicking Lakers’ butt! :)~ lol You really have to give it to the Celtics, they had some great D & definitely deserve the title. The last game was horrible! It was as if the Lakers just gave up! Congrats on the win! I just saw the roster for the US Olympics basketball team. I wonder why KG wasn’t on there but anyway I’ll be surprised if they win the gold. Hope you're having fun over there. :)

    REVERSE GRAFFITI: That’s really cool! Didn’t even know they did that. I really love the outline of the landscape. That was great. In San Antonio kid’s are getting paid to put up graffiti over unwanted graffiti. You’re artwork, I really like the message you’re sending with this piece. Really nice. ;) I just might staart liking ur artwork.

    con...Antony Micallef: Loved his work & his messages which are so true. I think my faves are his bronze statues; the detail’s amazing. :) THE HAPPENING: ha ha loved the way you showed your opinion. Sorry but Stewie’s still cuter than u :)~ I have to agree w/someone else on here, the trailer wasn’t convincing enough that it was going to be worth it. I really do have a hard time believing u would go up to someone & punch them in the face. U seem 2 soft 2 do something like that. :)~ What I can’t wait to see is Wanted w/Angelina Jolie. That looks like an awesome movie!

    con...Ping Pong: those guys must have plenty of free time but they r gr8 at it. This might be a dumb ? but why do they call it ping pong when no paddles are used? They’re great at throwing the ball & kicking it in. But 2 actually use a ping pong paddle might actually give u a different result cause of how & where u hit the ball on the paddle. Ask som1 who plays tennis, racquetball, or ping pong. All-in-all I did enjoy the video. Thanks. :) con...
