m shinoda art exhibition: glorious excess (born)

thanks to all of you that have supported my art and asked when i'll be doing another art show...i'm proud to announce the opening of a new solo exhibition.

i will be showing a new collection of paintings and digital works at the Japanese American National Museum in los angeles from july 11th to august 3. JANM is right next door to MOCA, on 1st st. in LA.

the new show is entitled "GLORIOUS EXCESS (BORN)."

it will feature nine new works. the pieces are larger and the content deeper than any art series i have done. DC shoes is partially sponsoring the event. there will be an opening and a signing. more info to come...

    I really wasn't expecting a new art show so soon :) You must be psyched though, I certainly would be. I wish I had money coming out of my wazu because if I did, I would so buy some prints.

    NO WAY! Another exhibitionnn, congrats Mike! I'm really happy for you, your art is something undescribable __ I live in Italy so it's just impossible for me to come, but it's like I'll be there XD I'd really like to buy one of your pieces..it would be like a dream come true for me. Figuring out a paint by you on my bedroom wall would be so...arghhhh LOOOOVE! We'll see.! Keep us informed =D

    wow, almost a month of exhibition, that's pretty rad. if only i don't live outside of US, i'd prolly already planning for a road trip from now. ish. =P

    and oh ... where does all the money from these artshows go? do you send any proceeds to non-profit organisations or something? good luck with the show! =) .. i still want SHH =(

    Know what's fun about college? Procrastination. I have an eight page (minimum) paper due in ten hours on Jews in the South. So far, I've typed my name, the date, the class, and the title. Good times.

    Oh God, your big art show is coming! I have to see your new exhibition, I really wish I could go from Brazil untill US to see your paintings 'cause I love your art... But I don't know if it'll be possible.

    Then congrats for keep us noticed about your GLORIOUS EXCESS (BORN) and sucess! And what about the other shows in this year? Will we win a show from Linkin Park in Brazil this year?

    congratulations on the new collection! love the title, by the way and i know the work will be wonderful. can't wait to see it. and it is absolutely amazing of you to have your exhibit at JANM instead of MOCA! just when i think that you have reached the pinnacle of perfection you go and do something spectacular like this. this is just the kind of thing that the Japanese community needs! you are quite the role model, Mr. Shinoda. thank you!

    i don't know if u like this kind of movies [or if u had already seen], but IRON MAN is a really great movie.. robert did an amazing job.. u should check it..! :D

    btw, if anyone is going to the movies to watch it, don't leave the room before the credits' end. (:

    i know it would be impossible do to do this out of america but still: it's sad i won't be there. i won't even have a chance to visit america in like... 10 years?! i don't know... poland is like the ass of the world == ... but still i hope the exhibition will go great! i don't understand all of your paintings but i admire you and i have that book with your art form bandmerch :P take care!

    I would sell my (figurative) right leg to be able to go to the opening! But sadly, I live on the other side of the country...

    It would be spectacular if you decided to exhibit here in the good ol' Sunshine State~ We'd be glad to have you. And yes, I just authorized myself to speak for all of Florida :)
